Lybid River
   It is considered that the river is adopted by name sisters of founders of Kyiv – Kyi, Schek and Khoryv – to Lybid.
At first Lybid was used as an energy source: water-mills stood on her.In 1854, at the Lybid near the village of Lower Lybid-Demiivka it was fixed dam.
In 1857 the in-plant system of water-supply was built for Kyiv Vladimirskiy military school with the source of water from a weir (rate) on Lybid and serve by steam pumps in tanks on territory of military school.
Now almost the entire length of its channel Lybed flattened, fixed concrete, that is, channelized.
